About

My name is Mike, and I guess you could say I got involved in the tiny house movement without knowing it. Back in 2006 I “bought” a house using a stated income, stated assets type loan, something that might have been suitable for Tony Soprano. In reality it was the exact type of loan that drove America into a downward spiral, and a few years later I foreclosed on that house. With a new mindset, I relocated to California to rebuild, living in a modest rental for a few years and then moving with my wife to the small town of Grass Valley. Now we rent a modest two bedroom that we share with our dog. Going forward I’d love to buy a plot of land and build a small home for our future family. The tiny home movement provides all the motivation I need to move in that direction, and the virtues it embodies are the same ones I hold in high esteem; to live simply, without want and to be happy with our friends, family, and natural surroundings seems most important going forward, and this site is meant to further that sentiment in you.
