Couple Builds Multiple School Bus Homes For Their Nonprofit

In Redmond, Oregon, husband and wife Ole and Becca Hanson (and their dogs) are busy putting the finishing touches on not one but two school bus conversions. The buses started out as identical Blue Birds but have developed into two different animals over the past few months. The one known as Matthew will be the Hansons’ home while Mark is now fitted out as a mobile office for the couple’s Full Circle Outreach Center. The nonprofit’s focus on helping people through upcycling and housing placements is an obvious inspiration for the bus conversion project, and now that they’ve got the hang of it the Hansons’ say they’ll try to convert a bus every year – then give it to another family that needs a home.
