A 570 Square Foot Country Charmer in Sweden

This nicely decorated 570-square-foot cottage in Sweden takes a cue from 1950’s styling, but thanks to an extensive remodeling effort in 2012 it’s looking better than ever and includes modern updates that make it more energy-efficient. It brings a ton of visual interest with the tasteful combination of concrete, hardwood, brick and tile flooring along with several different patterns of wallpaper throughout the rooms. Despite the various textiles, colors, and patterns, the effect is more eclectic than schizophrenic. And if you get tired of hanging out inside, there’s a lovely wooden porch that affords a nice view of the surrounding countryside.
