A post-graduation road trip turned into a lifestyle when Dana and Heather, formerly of Burlington, VT, traded in their Subaru Outback for a 2010 Forest River Surveyor 23-foot travel trailer. Getting a late-model vehicle let them forget about repairs and focus on what they were really interested in: interior decorating it into a more contemporary living space. This involved a lot of repainting to brighten things up, as well as replacing the cabinets and adding lots of pegboard for extra storage. Since finishing the project they’ve been using their tiny home on wheels to explore the central coast of California, where they moved for Dana’s job at Specialized Bicycle Components. You can read more of their story on their blog.
