Tucked alongside a beautiful lake high up in the Norwegian mountains you’ll find this unusual little cabin that seems to blend into its surroundings. The idyllic setting is far removed from civilization and you can only get there two ways, traveling by foot or by horse. Judging by the harsh terrain surrounding it, you’d best take the horse route. The design firm Snohetta took charge of this build, and given the remote location it was necessary to construct the cabin using as much material from nearby as possible, mostly rocks from the surrounding terrain. The curvy exterior is accented by a green roof and rustic wood cladding with rectangular windows, while inside you’ll find a surprisingly cozy and modern layout that offers guests 376-square-feet of space to rest after a long trek.
